Alumni Commitee

Welcome to the MBIS Alumni official web-site!

Back in January 2000 (or whenever) the Class of 1979 decided to organize a class reunion for their own class. By the time the reunion was held in October, it had become a school alumni reunion, with members from the class of 50`s to the class of 90`s in attendance. The reunion was a great success.

One tangible result of the reunion was the formation of the Marist Alumni Association, which has been given the full support of the school itself. The following people have volunteered to join the first ad-hoc Alumni Committee to guide it through its startup phase:

The current committee members struggled with the issue of legitimacy and authority. We do not assume that all or that even most of you approve of us as your representatives for the association. We are no more than a group of graduates that feels strongly about our alma mater and want to help the school, its students and fellow alumni. To that end we have volunteered to act as organizers of the association during its start up phase. In due course as the association matures and adopts formal rules and procedures, we believe membership to the committee should be determined by the alumni in accordance with such rules and procedures.

Our hope is to create an association that reaches out to all graduates and a committee represented by graduates of all ages. We ask each of you therefore to help us during this period of brain-storming, experimentation and development by sending us your suggestions. We welcome all suggestions, whether relating to the school, potential projects for the association, membership criteria, fund raising, web site matters, or any other relevant topic, and whether positive or critical.

We are very happy to announce that we have finally set up the Official Alumni Web-Site. It is our sincere wish that this web-site will act as the bridge to all our Marist friends from all over the world and our school for many years to come. We intend to post various announcements, school functions, bulletin boards, alumni contact lists, and much more.

Please remember that this is your home away from home so please send us your comments at any time. We would all love to hear from you. Your input is very important to us whether you graduated from 1951 till date, so let us all go forward together the Marist way!
